SNOWMOBILE & ICE CAVE

SNOWMOBILE & ICE CAVE

Explore Iceland’s second largest glacier up close, inside and out.

Take a snowmobile ride from our Klaki base camp at the glacier’s edge and drive to the ice tunnels. At our base we introduce you to the snowmobile and teach you how to operate it. When we’re good to go we hit the throttle with an experience snowmobile guide leading the way to the ice tunnels. The snowmobile ride is based on two persons sharing a snowmobile so you take turns driving or relaxing at the back. When we’ve reached the ice tunnels, located in high on the glacier, it’s time to explore the the inside of a Iceland’s second largest ice cap. In about the hour we spend inside the glacier you will witness a majestic frozen world, elaborate ice tunnels, creavasses and ice layers.
When we’re back in the open air it’s time to fire up the snowmobile and drive back to the base camp.

Being inside a glacier an amazing experience and snowmobiling on the glacier gives you a spectacular view over the glacier and the Iceland’s highlands.
